SCHOLARSHIPS

The Montessori School of Casper and its Board of Directors wish to see that all families have access to our quality early learning environment.  As a result, we have expanded our scholarship program to bridge the gap between necessity and opportunity for area families in financial need.  Families can apply for scholarships for the upcoming school year in the spring prior to enrollment.  After recipients are notified of their award in the spring, there are no remaining funds for scholarships available until the following school year.

SCHOLARSHIP GUIDING PRINCIPLES

The Montessori School of Casper (MSC) Board of Directors has the following guiding principles for awarding scholarship funds:

  • Privacy:  The MSC Board of Directors strives to ensure each family’s right to privacy.  We will use a third party to assess the financial needs of all families seeking assistance.

  • Financial Prudence: The Scholarship Committee is limited to the amount of money that has been specifically donated for scholarship, interest generated by the long term scholarship fund and/or money set aside by the MSC Board of Directors from the general fund.  The total amount varies from year to year.  We cannot guarantee that one year’s allocation will be the same the following year.  Additionally, awardees will need to reapply for scholarship funds year to year.

  • Enrollment Continuity:  All students applying for financial assistance must be accepted into the MSC program (waitlisted students may stillapply).  Priority will be given to re-enrolling students and families from within the co-op.

  • Parental/Guardian Involvement:  Typical scholarship awards will range between 15% - 45% of full tuition.  Parents/Guardians are still required to fulfill partial tuition payments and accessory fees along with all required volunteer hours and fundraising .
