About our School
Montessori School of Casper, a 501C3 not for profit corporation founded as Meadowlark Montessori School in 1973, offers parents a quality environment for children between the ages of three to six years. We are a private parent cooperative funded by tuition and donations. Current Coop members are required to volunteer at least 20 hours each school year
The educational theories and methods originated and developed by Dr. Maria Montessori and her associates, and now continued under the Association Montessori Internationale (AMI), form the basis of the curriculum at the school.
We are accredited by AMI-USA. The term “AMI-USA” has been registered in the U.S.A. to identify authentic Montessori education. To maintain AMI accreditation the school undergoes a consultation every three years by a certified AMI examiner who reviews all aspects of the program. The most recent accreditation was in 2008.
Montessori School of Casper is also certified through The Department of Family Services and meets statewide requirements.
