Carmen grew up in northwest Arkansas and received her Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Economics from the University of Arkansas. She completed her AMI Montessori training in Portland, Oregon, and finished her Master's degree in Montessori Primary Education through Loyola University Maryland in 2014. Carmen loves singing with children and sharing experiences from her travels while studying abroad in China, France, and Ghana. She occasionally introduces French in the classroom through songs, books, and games. She is passionate about finding ways to encourage sustainability and service by children in the classroom. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her dogs, reading, traveling domestically and internationally, visiting family in Arkansas for good Southern cooking, and trying new outdoor adventures like snowboarding, hiking, camping, and biking with her partner, Steven.
Meet my Classroom Assistants
Chanda was raised in Casper and joined the Montessori School of Casper team in October 2015. She enjoys working with young children and is pursing her A.A. degree in Early Childhood Education. In her free time, Chanda enjoys hunting and spending time with her dogs.
Darcy is originally from Rawlins, WY. She moved to Casper in 2005 to attend Casper College. She received her A.A. in Elementary Education with an Early Childhood Endorsement. Darcy started working at Montessori School of Casper in 2016. Her daughter is an MSC graduate and her son is currently enrolled. In her free time Darcy enjoys being with her familyand friends, laughing and enjoying life.
